dc.description.abstract Record of the conference authorized by Lord Egremont to explain the territorial changes resulting from the Peace of Paris, and to settle other issues concerning the southern tribes, encouraging peace and stability among them. The governors were governors of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia. Cf. Early American Indian documents: treaties and laws, 1607-1789 (Frederick, Md., 1983), v. 5, p. 251.
