dc.description.abstract | Nine numbered rules written by Cotton Mather. Eight appear in Mather's diary for October, 1693. The ninth, written later, mentions his Negro Christianized, first published in 1706. Ascribed to the press of Bartholomew Green and dated between 1706 and 1713 by Holmes. The American Antiquarian Society copy includes a ms. note by Samuel Sewall on verso: Left at my house for me, when I was not at home, by Spaniard Dr. Mather's Negro; March 23. 1713-14. Printed area measures: 27.3 x 12.3 cm. |
