dc.description.abstract Imprint from Wing. In this edition line two has the word "Parliament". Recites the sufferings of petitioners in defence of Parliament, the tax of 60,000 pounds monthly, the evil deeds of the army, whose remonstrance was voted (9 November) destructive to to the very being of Parliaments, who have reduced Parliament to impotence. Now, by free quartering, they are ruining the country -- Cf. Steele. Annotation on Thomason copy: "Decemb. 9th London 1647". Reproduction of the original in the British Library.
