dc.description.abstract Contains an excerpt of book 2, chapters 18-19 of "Politicorum libri decem" by Contzen, an excerpt of "De monarchia Hispanica discursus" by Campanella, and an excerpt of "A conference about the next succession to the crowne of Ingland .. by R. Doleman". R. Doleman = William Allen, Sir Francis Englefield, and others. "Robert Persons [Parsons], who is often credited with sole authorship of the work, probably played only a small part in its composition or revision"--Halkett & Laing (3rd ed.). "The stationer to the reader" signed "Mich. Spark" (the compiler?). The authors' names are bracketed together on title page. Annotation on Thomason copy: "Nouemb: 1st". Reproduction of the original in the British Library.
