"Translated from a French version of an unidentified work by Gregorio Leti which was subsequently incorporated in pt. 5 of his "'Il Ceremoniale historico, e politico.'"--BM. J. D. = John Davies. Includes "A catalogue of the names, surnames and dignities of the cardinals at the elections of Clement IX. May 1667" (p. 95-102). A reissue, with cancel title page and no additional preliminaries, of the edition with title "The ceremonies of the vacant see", published in 1671 (Wing L1330C).
