| dc.description.abstract | First four words of title are xylographic. This work reprints, translates, and attacks a Latin poem on the Virgin of Halle in "Amphitheatrum honoris" (1606) by C. Bonarscius, a pseudonym of Carolus Scribanius--STC. Variant (earlier state?--STC): with preliminary leaves collating A⁴ a² including an epistle to the Lower House of Parliament. Running title reads: The Iesuits gospell. Signatures: pi¹ B-O⁴ P² . Formerly also STC 14533. Identified as STC 14533 un UMI microfilm reel 1549. Imperfect; Bodleian library copy lacks all before page 14 and is cropped affecting text. Reproductions of the originals in the Cambridge University Library and the Bodleian Library. Appears at reels 779 (Cambridge University Library copy) and 1549 (Bodleian Library copy). |
