dc.description.abstract Dedication signed by the editor: A.B. "The happinesse of peace" and "The love-sick spouse" have separate titlepages; pagination and register are continuous. "The burning light", which has imprint "Printed by Thomas Cotes for Daniel Frere", and "The magistrates commission", which has imprint "Printed by T. Cotes for Daniel Frere", have separate title pages, pagination sequences and registers. All title pages are dated 1640. Also issued as part 1 of STC 23306, his "XV. choice sermons", 1640. Some print faded and some show-through, some pages stained. Beginning to page 35 from Cambridge University Library spliced at end. "The burning light" formerly STC 23301. "The burning light" identified as STC 23301 on UMI microfilm reel 1293. Reproduction of the original in the Union Theological Seminary (New York, N.Y.). Library. Appears at reel 1396 and at reel 1293 ("The burning light" only).
