dc.description.abstract Largely autobiographical. Three vols. only were issued of a "project" of twenty-four. Anagram of author's name, "Hid unto none," on verso of sig. B4, v. 1. Date of publication from Wing. Vol. 1 contains a "Poetical explanation of the frontispiece." Although no frontispiece appears in this copy, see: Nichols, J.B. Life and errors of John Dunton, 1818, p. xiii. Reproduction of original in British Library. [v. 1.] Contains the rare adventures of Don Kainophilus, from his cradle to his 15th year (n.d.) -- v. 2. Containing the rare adventures of Don Kainophilus, during his seven years prenticeship. The whole work intermixt with instructions for the management of a mans whole life. As also with particular remarks on the most noted booksellers, authors and poets, in the city of London (1691) -- v. 3. Containing a further account of the juvenile rambles of Don Kainophilus, with his first project of girdling the world, &c. (1691).
