dc.description.abstract Attributed to Henry Dodwell. Cf. DNB. A reply to Humphry Hody's translation of a Baroccian manuscript in the Bodleian library, which was published under title: The unreasonableness of a separation from the new bishops. Cf. DNB, v. 27, p. 77. Imperfect: page 2 of "The canons in the Baroccian manuscript" is lacking on film. Reproduction of original in Cambridge University Library. I. Shewing, that through the instances collected in the said ms. had been pertinent to the editors design, yet that would not have been sufficient for obtaining their cause -- II. Shewing, that the instances there collected are indeed not pertinent to the editors design, for vindicating the validity of the deprivation of spiritual power by a lay-authority.
