dc.description.abstract By John Wilkins. An expanded edition of: The discovery of a world in the moone. The general title page is engraved and signed: W. Marshall, sculpsit. "The first book· The discovery of a new world .. The third impression. Corrected and enlarged .. Printed by Iohn Norton" and "A discourse concerning a nevv planet .. Printed by R[ichard]. H[earne]." each have separate dated letterpress title page, pagination, and register. Richard Hearne's name from STC. ² P7 is a cancel (printed as 2a8). The cancellandum lacks the engraving on the verso. The final leaves to part 1 are [1] errata and [2-3] "The propositions that are proved in this discourse", signed "R2" (some copies signed "aa") and "aa2" respectively. With a final errata leaf. Reproduction of the original in the Henry E. Huntington Library and Art Gallery.
