dc.description.abstract | Translated by W.B. (i.e. William Bedwell?), whose initials appear on the third leaf recto. The title page is engraved. Identification of printers supplied and actual publication date conjectured by STC; Bill's name from colophon. The maps were printed in Antwerp by the Officina Plantiniana; each is folded and has letterpress text on the back. "Parergon, siue veteris geographiæ aliquot tabulæ" has separate title page. Includes index. The plate numbers appear to be hand-stamped in the catalogued copy. Reproduction of the original in the Henry E. Huntington Library and Art Gallery. |
