Colophon (referring to the preparation of the text) reads: .. ended the second day of Iuyll the xxij yere of the regne of kynge Edwardthe [sic] fourth [and] of the Incarnacion of oure lord a thousand four honderd foure score and tweyne, fynysshed per Caxton. Opening of text, a2r: "Prohemye gRete thankynges lawde [and] honoure we merytoryously ben bounde to yelde and offre vnto wryters of hystoryes .."; "1"2r: "sYth the tyme that the grete and high tonr [sic] of babilone was bylded ..". Signatures: a-b C⁴; 1-28 chi² 29-48 49⁴ 50 52-55. Includes index. The first leaf and the last leaf are blank. Numerous errors in foliation. Reproduction of the original in the British Library. |
