| dc.description.abstract | A translation (attributed to Alexander Barclay) from the French original, which is based on Jean Bruyant's poem Le chemin de povretè et de richesse. Cf. BL. T.p. lacking; title and imprint of publication suggested by STC (2nd ed.). Copy at reel 67 consists of G3,4 only; copy at reel 2292 consists of C1, 2, 5, 6 and D1, 2, 5, 6 only. Copy at 2292 is a page for page reprint of [1505?] edition which was presented to the Museum by A.H. Huth in 1911. Cf. Huth 29. Signatures: C-C² C⁵-C⁶ D-D² D⁵-D⁶ G³-G⁴. Imperfect: fragments; pages are torn and have extreme print show-through. Reproduction of original in: Bodleian Library (67:21) and British Library (2292:20). |
