CORPUS OF HEBREW INSCRIPTIONS BEFORE 200 B.C PART 2: INTRODUCTORY GUIDE
The texts included here are those collected in Graham Davies, Ancient Hebrew Inscriptions: Corpus and Concordance Volume 2 (hereafter 'AHI2') (Cambridge University Press, 2004), which was the sequel to G.I. Davies, Ancient Hebrew Inscriptions: Corpus and Concordance (hereafter 'AHI') (Cambridge University Press, 1991). The texts from AHI are included in a separate file that is also available from the Oxford Text Archive (item 1707 in their catalogue), together with its own 'read-me' file. The last major amendments and additions to this database were made in March 2003. Users of both datafiles together should bear in mind that a few entries in AHI2 are re-edits of inscriptions already included in AHI (with the same number), e.g. 4.122, 4.123, and should ignore or delete the versions in AHI to prevent false duplication of lexeme occurrences or other features.
