CORPUS OF HEBREW INSCRIPTIONS BEFORE 200 B.C: INTRODUCTORY GUIDE
The texts included here are those collected in G.I. Davies, Ancient Hebrew
Inscriptions: Corpus and Concordance (hereafter 'AHI') (Cambridge University
Press, 1991). The last major amendments and additions to the database were
made in January 1991 (on the few corrections made since the publication of AHI
and included in this copy see the note at the end of this guide). Although it
was our intention to include all inscriptions published before that date, it
is likely that we have missed a few. As we become aware of them, they will be
added to the master file in Cambridge, along with newly published inscriptions.
In due course supplements will be added to the computerised copy which is made
available through the Oxford Text Archive. In addition, perhaps every five
years, a printed supplement in the format of AHI will be published in a
well-known journal.
The layout of the database is according to the requirements of a Cam . . .
