PREFACE
Pulci's Morgante is the second of the narrative poems
of the Italian Renaissance, following Boiardo's Orlando
Innamorato, that has been prepared in machine-readable

computer analysis, as part of a project financed by the
British Academy. Their preparation has been made
possible by the facilities provided by the Oxford
University Computing Service (OUCS), in whose Text
Archive the finished text is now permanently held.
