AT A General Court Held at BOSTON May. 16. 1683.

THis Court Considering that Cattle are Rated to the Countrey at a greater value than they will yield from Man to Man:

Doth therefore Order, that henceforth all Neat Cattle shall be Rated to the Countrey, viz. Oxen at four years old and a­bove, at three pounds a piece; all Cows, and Steers at three years and above, at forty shillings a piece; and all of two years old, at thirty shillings a piece; and Yearlings, at fifteen shillings a piece; and Swine at a year old, at ten shillings.
