A PROCLAMATION, Taking off the Imbargo put upon Ships.

JAMES by the Grace of GOD, King of Great-Britain, France, and Ireland, Defender of the Faith,
To Our Lovits Macers of Our Privy Council, or Messengers at Arms, Our Sheriffs in that part, conjunctly and severally, specially constitute, Greet­ing;

Forasmuch as by reason of the late Invasion and Rebellion made by some desperate Rebels and Traitors, on, and in this Our Ancient Kingdom, there was a Stop and Imbargo put upon Ships and other Vessels, until Our further Pleasure: And whereas now these Rebels and Traitors are totally Defeat, and so the Cause of the said Imbargo fully over: We therefore, with Advice [...] Our Privy Council, Do hereby take off any Step or Imbargo put upon any Ships, Boats, Bark [...] or other Vessels within this Our Realm, upon the occasion foresaid (if they be not legally und [...] Arrest,) and Declare them free to Trade and Traffick in any part within or outwith this Realm [...] It is alwise hereby provided, that the Owners, Masters, and Skippers of such Ships and Vessel [...] shall be answerable for their Passengers and Goods, conform to Our Laws, and Proclamations ma [...] thereanent, and under the Pains and Certifications thereincontained.
