         <editorialDecl>
            <p>EEBO-TCP is a partnership between the Universities of Michigan and Oxford and the publisher ProQuest to create accurately transcribed and encoded texts based on the image sets published by ProQuest via their Early English Books Online (EEBO) database (http://eebo.chadwyck.com). The general aim of EEBO-TCP is to encode one copy (usually the first edition) of every monographic English-language title published between 1473 and 1700 available in EEBO.</p>
            <p>EEBO-TCP aimed to produce large quantities of textual data within the usual project restraints of time and funding, and therefore chose to create diplomatic transcriptions (as opposed to critical editions) with light-touch, mainly structural encoding based on the Text Encoding Initiative (http://www.tei-c.org).</p>
            <p>The EEBO-TCP project was divided into two phases. The 25,363 texts created during Phase 1 of the project have been released into the public domain as of 1 January 2015. Anyone can now take and use these texts for their own purposes, but we respectfully request that due credit and attribution is given to their original source.</p>
            <p>Users should be aware of the process of creating the TCP texts, and therefore of any assumptions that can be made about the data.</p>
            <p>Text selection was based on the New Cambridge Bibliography of English Literature (NCBEL). If an author (or for an anonymous work, the title) appears in NCBEL, then their works are eligible for inclusion. Selection was intended to range over a wide variety of subject areas, to reflect the true nature of the print record of the period. In general, first editions of a works in English were prioritized, although there are a number of works in other languages, notably Latin and Welsh, included and sometimes a second or later edition of a work was chosen if there was a compelling reason to do so.</p>
            <p>Image sets were sent to external keying companies for transcription and basic encoding. Quality assurance was then carried out by editorial teams in Oxford and Michigan. 5% (or 5 pages, whichever is the greater) of each text was proofread for accuracy and those which did not meet QA standards were returned to the keyers to be redone. After proofreading, the encoding was enhanced and/or corrected and characters marked as illegible were corrected where possible up to a limit of 100 instances per text. Any remaining illegibles were encoded as &lt;gap&gt;s. Understanding these processes should make clear that, while the overall quality of TCP data is very good, some errors will remain and some readable characters will be marked as illegible. Users should bear in mind that in all likelihood such instances will never have been looked at by a TCP editor.</p>
            <p>The texts were encoded and linked to page images in accordance with level 4 of the TEI in Libraries guidelines.</p>
            <p>Copies of the texts have been issued variously as SGML (TCP schema; ASCII text with mnemonic sdata character entities); displayable XML (TCP schema; characters represented either as UTF-8 Unicode or text strings within braces); or lossless XML (TEI P5, characters represented either as UTF-8 Unicode or TEI g elements).</p>
            <p>Keying and markup guidelines are available at the <ref target="http://www.textcreationpartnership.org/docs/.">Text Creation Partnership web site</ref>.</p>

I pray where now is the Divell and the Pope and all his carnall Miniſters, with all their dead Doctrines of darkneſſe which are alwayes teaching and preaching up<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>on the Law and the Commandements, and yet alas for pitty, they are ſo blinded in their Doctrine and in their Judgement, that they doe not diſcerne betwixt the Law and the Commandements which are unto death and condemnation from the Law and the Commande<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>ments which God hath ordained to everlaſting life and juſtification, for I have plainly proved that the Miniſtration of the Old Teſtament is the Law of Commandements contained in Ordinances which Chriſt hath aboliſhed by his Paſſion on the Croſſe, which is unto death and condemnation, but on the other ſide I have proved that Chriſt Jeſus is the Law and Commandements in the New Teſtament, which is un<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>to everlaſting life and juſtification the fulneſſe of him that filleth all in all, It is written in the 13 <hi>Revel. ver.</hi> 10. and I heard a loud voice ſaying in Heaven, now is come Salvation, and ſtrength, and the King<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>dome of our God and the power of his Chriſt, which is the power<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>full preaching of his word in his Goſpell and the accuſer of the Bre<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>thren is caſt downe, which accuſed the Brethren before our God day and night, the accuſer of our Brethren plainly ſignifies for to be the Divell and all his carnall Miniſters, which by that authority that is given unto them, they keepe the Children of God under the old Law and falſe Doctrine of carnall men, which I have proved, and ſhall prove to be the ſtrength of ſinne and death to condemnation, but now I make no doubt but the Children of God which ſhall be recon<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>ciled unto Chriſt and to his glorious Goſpell, they will riſe ſo pow<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>erfully againſt the Divell and all his carnall Miniſters, that their Hel<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>liſh power will be broken quite downe, and now that ſaying will be brought to <gap reason="illegible" resp="#OXF" extent="1 letter">

Behold the Lambe of God which taketh away the ſinnes of the world, which taketh away the ſinnes of his people by his Paſſion on the Croſſe, for the ſtrength of ſinne is the Law, and the Divell and all his carnall Miniſters, they are yet the ſtrength of ſinne, for by that authority that is given to them, they keepe the Children of God under unbeliefe, for Chriſt Jeſus in the end of the Law, for Righ<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>teouſneſſe to every one that believeth, <hi>Rom.</hi> 10. <hi>chap. ver.</hi> 4. for God hath made him to be ſinne for us who knew no ſinne, that we might be made the Righteouſneſſe of God in him, and we in him, and he in us, by the vertue and Divine power of his word in his Goſpell, which liveth in us, 2 <hi>Cor. chap.</hi> 5. <hi>ver.</hi> 21. for the word of God is quick and powerfull, and ſharper then any two edged Sword, <hi>Heb.</hi> 4. Firſt, it is quick in apprehenſion for to divide betwixt the Law and the Goſpell. Secondly, it is powerfull for to draw the people from the bondage of Hell and corruption into the glorious liberty of the Chil<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>dren of God, for God will finiſh the worke and cut it ſhort in Righ<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>teouſneſſe, becauſe a ſhort worke will the Lord make upon the Earth, <hi>Rom.</hi> 9. <hi>chap. v.</hi> 28. for Chriſt muſt raigne, but he hath put downe all Rule, and all authority, and power, and Dominion under his feet, that is, all falſe Doctrine and falſe worſhips which belongeth to the Divell and the power of his Kingdome, the laſt enemy that ſhall be deſtroyed is death, and then commeth the end, hereby I plainly un<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>derſtand when the Miniſtration of the blood of the New Teſtament, which is the power of God everlaſting life and juſtification, ſhall o<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>verthrow the old Law, and all falſe Doctrine of carnall men, which I have plainly proved to be the ſtrength of ſinne and death to condem<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>nation, then there ſhall be an end of the outward man in the fleſh; for all the Children of God ſhall be gathered into the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Sonne of God, by the powerfull prea<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>ching of his word in the Doctrine of the New Teſtament, which is

               <p>Chriſtian Brethren, I have written a booke here in briefe upon many principall points of Scripture concerning the overthrow of the Divell and the falſe Church, but by the helpe of God, I have ano<g ref="char:EOLhyphen"/>ther booke which will come out very ſhortly to declare theſe things unto you more at large.</p>
