AN ORDINANCE Of Explanation touching the Jurisdiction of the Court of Admiralty.
BEe it Declared and Ordeined by His Highness the Lord Protector, by and with the consent of His Council, That so much of the Act of Parlament of the second of April, One thousand six hundred fiftie one; Entituled, An Act for the continuing of the Jurisdiction of the Court of Admiraltie, as to so much thereof as concerns the setling and continuing of the Iurisdiction of the said Court, according to former Acts and Ordinances of Parlament, bee, and is hereby Declared to bee, and at [Page 358] all times since the Twefth of April, Anno Dom. One thousand six hundred fiftie and one, to have been continued of full force and virtue, according to the words contained therein, and the same shall so continue and bee, and shall bee so in all Courts adjudged to bee continued, and of full force and virtue, until further order shall bee taken to the contrarie; and that all proceedings in the said Court of Admiraltie, since the Thirtieth of March last, or hereafter to bee had, according to the said Act of April, One thousand six hundred fiftie one, shall stand good, firm, and valid in Law to all intents and purposes whatsoever, and bee so adjudged, construed and taken, any thing to the contrarie notwithstanding.
