AN ORDINANCE FOR THE GIVING LIBERTIE For the Carrying of Mill-stones, Timber, Stone, &c.

BEt it Ordeined by His High­ness the Lord Protector, by and with the advice and con­sent of His Council, That it shall and may bee lawful to and for any person or persons other than common Carriers, to make use of any greater number of Horses or Oxen, for the Draught of Milstones, Timber, Stone, or other heavie carriage than are limitted or appointed by the late Ordinance, Intituled, [Page 686] An Ordinance for the better amending and keeping in repair the Common High-wayes within this Nation, for and during the space of four Moneths in every year; That is to say, The moneths of May, June, July and August, and not other­wise; The said Ordinance or any other thing to the contrarie in any wise notwithstand­ing.
