VVE judging it requisite for the better government of His Majesties Army, and the preservation of the peace of this Kingdom, That all Officers and Souldiers under their Command, should be, and Continue in their respective Garrisons, that they may be in readiness on all occasions to execute such directions as We shall from time to time think fit to give, for the carrying on of His Majesties Service; do hereby will and require all and singular the Officers of His Majesties Army, (Excepting such of them as are of His Majesties Privy Council) and Souldiers under their Commands as are now absent from their Quarters. whether it be by Licence from Vs or otherwise, not being out of this His Majesties Kingdome, to repair within fourteen days after Publication hereof, to their said Respective Garrisons; and all Officers and private Souldiers now in their Quarters, are to remain there in like manner, and not to absent themselves on any pretence whatever, without particular and express Licence from Vs to be obtained after the date hereof; and the said Officers are to keep their respective Troops and Companies under their command intirely together, and to take care that good Guards be constantly kept, as they will answer the contrary at their Peril.
