THe Queenes most excellent Maiestie hauing ordred that acertaine number of Souldiers shall bee foorthwith leuyed and prested to repaire into the lowe Countreyes, there to be imployed in her Highnesse seruice and pay: The charge of leuying, presting, mustring, arming and transporting of which Souldiers, her Maiestie hath by her speciall Commission, committed to Syr Iohn Norris Knight, and to such Officers, and other persons whom he shall by writing vn­der his hand depute in this behalfe: Doth straightly charge and commaund, that all such persons, who haue already, or shall receiue any prest money of the sayde Syr Iohn Norris, or of such his abouesayd Officers, for this seruice now committed vnto him, and wherein they are to be vsed, shall duely obserue and keepe such order as shall be giuen and limitted vnto them, for the day and time of their repaire to any place, whereunto they shall be by the sayde Syr Iohn Norris, or his abouesayd Officers appointed for their meeting, shipping, and transportation. And if any such person or persons shall to the contrary offend, or directly or indirectly withdrawe themselues after the prest money by them receiued: Her Maiestie doth hereby notifie, that euery such person so offending, and the offence duely prooued, shall be punished with death by Marshall Lawe. For which purpose, and for the bet­ter execution hereof, to the furderance of this her Maiesties seruice, Her Highnesse hath bene pleased to appoint peter Crisp gentleman, to be the Prouost Marshall: vnto whom, in this seruice, her Maiestie doth will and commaund all Iustices, Maiors, Sheriffes, Bailiffes, Constables, Hedboroughes, and all other her Officers, Ministers and Subjectes, to be ayding, assisting, and furdering, as they and euery of them will answere for the contrary at their vttermost perils.
