¶ A Proclamation for the speedy pay­ment of the Queenes Rents, Tenthes, and other dueties.

ELIZABETH Dei gratia Angliae, Franciae & Hiberniae Regina, fidei defensor, &c.
Maiori & Vicecomit. Ciuitatis London Salu­tem.
Praecipimus vobis, quod statim visis praesentibus in singulis locis infra ciuitatem praedictam, tam infra libertates, quam extra, vbi magis expedire videritis ex parte nostra publicas Proclama­tiones fieri fac. in haec verba.

THe Queenes Maiestie meaning to vse no extremitie towardes her Tenants, although in some part shee might vpon occasion already giuen, hath thought meete to giue knowledge to all her Farmors and Tenants within the Citie of London, which ought to haue paide their Rents, Tenthes, and other dueties at Michelmas last, or at the furthest before this time vpon sundry great paines by the order of her Lawes, and haue not, that they shall make payment to the Collectour, or Receiuer generall of the saide Citie, or into the receipt of her Exchequer, within twelue dayes after this Proclamation. And if any person shall herein make default, at this time, or hereafter, her Maiestie must giue order to extend the Tenour of her Lawes there­fore prouided as reason is.
